‘Vijay Dasami’ on Hello FM 106.4 on Thursday 20th January 2011
It is not every day that one of Kollywood’s biggest and most popular hero chooses to share an entire day with the listeners of an FM radio station across seven locations.
Hooray! Hello FM 106.4 has done it, with none other than Ilaya Thalapathi Vijay.
‘Kaavalan’ – Vijay’s 51st film, released just a few days ago for Pongal is a runaway hit all over Tamilnadu. In a special gesture towards sharing his joy and excitement with his fans across the state, Vijay had chosen to be a part of Hello FM 106.4 exclusively for a whole day.
The award-winning radio station is all set to celebrate the phenomenon called Ilayathalapathy Vijay with a whole day being dedicated to the star himself on Thursday, January 20, 2011.
The Kaavalan star will feature in all the programmes of the day, across all seven locations. Starting from early morning show Silunnu Oru Kalai to the late night Gurkha Guru Singh will showcase different facets of actor Vijay.
Programmes that merit special mention here are Hello Tamizhaa, Anjarai Petti, Bigulu (Pallaankuzhi) and Diary. While Hello Tamizha – the morning show is packed with special interview with the mega star, in Anjarai Petti – the noontime program, the actor will introspect into straddling the role of a father, husband and son, amidst his professional commitments. The evening show will showcase some of Vijay’s best buddies surprising him with their personal calls conveying their greetings and wishes. In Diary, the late evening show, the Tamil cinema heartthrob walks down the memory lane and gets nostalgic about the movements he cherishes in life. Not to mention special contests for listeners to win tickets for a special screening of the film.
This is yet another instance of Kollywood choosing Hello FM as its second home.
